DRAWING WITH MARK
Drawing is an important and valuable skill to improve many aspects of life. It certainly gives you the confidence to communicate more effectively and improves your memory as well as hand eye coordination. Not to mention it is just plain fun to create what your imagination has been wanting you to express for just the longest time, isn’t it?!

what do we learn?
The full course is made up of modules that cover smaller topics such as:
Basic drawing as well as the standard set of tools through the creation of cartoons.
Three points of perspective are discussed in order to provide more complex drawings to be constructed with ease.
Sketching backgrounds and landscape elements are essential to natural art themes.
And lastly incorporating all of these elements would be the perfect format and a most beloved medium; the comic book. No 24 pagers here…but enough panels to help establish one way in which a person might convey their ideas most effectively.
through writing
line type and quality
use of color
using shape and size of panel to guide the pacing the reader takes throughout the piece
and of course sketches drawn well enough and in style that effectively establish people, places, and things significant to others enough to tell a story.
Where are the classes?
Classes are offered in person in Yakima, Washington and available online. If you’ve questions about the course or special requests please book a Discovery Call.
How do I register?
Have no fear; at every step of the way you are but an email or a phone call away from help and support.
Booking classes should be easy to do, and we are striving to simplify this process all the time.
At this time I am offering 5 workshops in a series where I will take students from the basics of warming up to a new drawing to the fundamentals of finishing their very own graphic novel story.
We take things with a pace that is comfortable for the majority of the class and from their current skill levels…we want everyone to succeed in building on their drawing development. No one left behind on a rooftop!
